The service

What we do

Scheduled and emergency grease trap pump-outs for commercial kitchens, with the service records councils ask for.

Most people who call us are kitchen managers with a council inspection coming, a blockage already causing trouble, or a trade waste agreement they have to satisfy. If that sounds like your situation, ring the office or send the details through the contact form and we will give you a straight price and a day.

What is included

  • Efficient removal of fat, oil, grease and food debris from the trap
  • Internal cleaning of the trap and the inlet and outlet
  • Deodorisation of the trap
  • A visual check for defects, reported back if anything needs attention
  • Transport of the waste for compliant recycling and disposal
  • The certification councils ask for at inspection
  • A regular schedule set up around your kitchen hours to minimise disruption

Common questions

How often should a commercial grease trap be cleaned?

Every three to four months as a general rule, depending on how busy the kitchen is and how much food is being turned over. Councils inspect and want to see certification that the work has been done.

What happens if grease traps are not cleaned regularly?

Decomposing food scraps build up in the trap, harden and start to block drains and corrode pipes. Fat that accumulates in the pipes narrows or damages them, and the repair bill later on is far worse than the cost of the service.

Do you provide the paperwork councils want to see?

Yes. We provide the compliance certification you need to show at inspection. Kitchens caught without it can be fined by the regulator.

Do you clean domestic grease traps as well?

Yes. Domestic grease traps sit between the kitchen and the septic tank or sewer, and food particles collect at the bottom. Regular cleaning and deodorising keeps the pipes clear and stops food particles ending up in local waterways.

Can you fit around service hours?

Yes. We schedule the visit around your kitchen so it does not get in the way of service.
