Who we are

Mac Waste Group is a family-owned liquid waste business based in Maffra, Victoria. This policy covers www.macwaste.au, the website you are on right now. When we say "we" or "us" we mean Mac Waste Group.

What we collect through the contact form

When you send us an enquiry, we collect the details you type into the form: your name, your phone number, your email address, and whatever you tell us about the job. We also record the date and time of the submission, and your IP address, for basic spam prevention.

We do not collect anything else about you through the site. There is no login, no account, no shopping cart.

What we use it for

There are two things, and only these two. First, so we can answer your enquiry, quote the job and organise the visit. Second, so we can keep a service record if you become a regular customer, so that the next crew who visits your property knows what was done last time.

We do not sell your details. We do not add you to a mailing list. We do not pass them to other businesses for marketing.

Who we share it with

Only the third parties that make the website and the office work. In practice that is:

• ✓Cloudflare Turnstile. The check box on the contact form that proves you are a person, not a bot. Cloudflare sees the IP address of the browser filling in the form, so they can rate its trustworthiness.
• ✓SMTP2GO. The service that delivers form submissions to our inbox. They see the contents of the email we send ourselves.
• ✓Google Analytics. Basic visit counts so we can see which pages of the site people read. No personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking.
• ✓Google Maps. The map on the contact page loads from Google, so they see that your browser opened that page.

If we ever add another service that collects your details, this list gets updated before it goes live.

Cookies

The site itself does not set any tracking cookies. Google Analytics and Google Maps set their own cookies when those parts of the site load. You can block them in your browser settings without breaking anything important on this site.

How long we keep it

Enquiries we did not quote or convert are kept for two years in case you come back. Records for regular customers are kept for as long as you are a customer, plus seven years after that, because our accountant needs us to keep job records for tax and EPA-record purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email admin@macwastegroup.com.au or ring 1800 895 805. We will action reasonable requests within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If the site starts doing something new that changes what we collect, we will update this page and change the last-updated date below. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
